High School, EV3 and MicroPython!

For grades 7-12, EV3 engages and challenges students to practice STEM and robotics skills in a “near real world” environment, preparing them for college and career in the technology infused world. Students and teachers can leverage the advanced features and functionality of EV3 along with the STEM, robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) lessons to build job specific skills with focus on Computer Science, Engineering and specific areas of CTE/vocational education such as Manufacturing, Information Technology and Pre-Engineering. The new EV3 MicroPython programming language, now standard for all EV3 high school content, is an optimized version of Python for micro-controllers and enables students to acquire skills directly applicable to real-world Python programming.

LEGO Learning Solutions are designed to be flexible, cross-curriculum tools that ignite curiosity and integrate easily into your classroom. Our standards-aligned lesson plans provide a variety of learning experiences, including guided learning and problem-solving lessons, that relate directly back to students’ real-life questions and observations. Simple & Powered Machines is designed for students in grades 6-8 and covers a broad range of concepts, such as force, motion, and energy, using 396 LEGO Technic bricks and a motor to model physical behaviors and promote collaborative work.
